Crush Grip (Japanese: にぎりつぶす Grip Crush) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation IV. It is the signature move of Regigigas.

Effect

Generation IV

Crush Grip deals damage. Its power varies between 1 and 121, and is greater the more HP the target has:

P o w e r = 1 + 120 × C u r r e n t H P t a r g e t M a x H P t a r g e t {\displaystyle Power=1+120\times {\dfrac {CurrentHP_{target}}{MaxHP_{target}}}}

Generation V to VII

Crush Grip's power is now calculated as:

P o w e r = 120 × C u r r e n t H P t a r g e t M a x H P t a r g e t {\displaystyle Power=120\times {\dfrac {CurrentHP_{target}}{MaxHP_{target}}}}

However, its power cannot be less than 1. Consequently, its power now varies between 1 and 120.

Generation VIII

In Versions 1.0 to 1.2.1 of Pokémon Sword and Shield, Crush Grip could not be selected in a battle. Starting with Version 1.3.0, it is usable and functions the same as it did in the previous generation.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Crush Grip's base power has been lowered to 100.
