Variety, through its sources, first confirmed the news of the new bachelor-to-be was Clayton Echard for season 26. When Variety reached out, they declined to make any comments on that matter. If the information from the sources stands true, he will join as a suitor of The Bachelorette which sets to premiere on 19 October.

As per the reports of Variety the network fell in love with him immediately. He was at the top of the shortlist of the network’s perspective bachelors. After the photos leaked, the source confirmed to Variety that Clayton Echard in fact was the next bachelor.

Clayton Echard was born on 29 April 1993. He turned 28 years old in April of 2021.

Born to his parents Brian Echard and Kelly Duff Echard, Clayton Echard hails from his hometown of Eureka, Missouri.

Brian and Kelly married on 21 September 1991. So, they have been married for nearly 30 years (as of this writing). While his parents live in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri whereas Clayton lived in Columbia, Missouri as of 2021.

Hailing from Waverly, Ohio, Brian graduated from The Ohio State University with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked as a sales engineer from 1986-1989 and district sales manager from 1989-1994 for Therm-O-Disc, Inc.,

Later on, Brian also worked as sales manager for McGill Switch Product Group, from 1996-1998 to White-Rodgers as sales manager, from 1998-2012 for Power Motion Sales Inc. as sales manager, and Sales engineer from August 2012 to the same company. Meanwhile, his wife, Kelly Echard, worked as a teacher at Washington Public Schools in Eureka, Missouri.

On 18 March 2021, Clayton wished his father, Brian for turning 58 years old. Even in the minimum, Clayton featured both of his parents.

Pat has been working as Hub Material Handler in Stryker since November 2020. Before that he worked for Wright Medical Hub Material Handler, Busser/Food Runner/Barback in Loco Patron, Medical Screener at Aerotek, Harpo’s Bar & Grill as Bartender and Bar Specialist, in University Hospital as Research Assitant and Infection Control Intern, among a few other places.

His Football Career

Clayton’s football career started in high school. After playing varsity football, he joined Missouri Tigers in 2012. In the 2014 season, he played in all 14 games on special teams, tallying four tackles (3 solos, 1 assist). He had a solo tackle against UCF (Sept. 13), at South Carolina (Sept. 27), and against Kentucky (Nov. 1). He also added an assisted tackle against Arkansas (Nov. 28).

During the 2015 season, Clayton played tight end Mizzou, earning one start. He hauled in a pair of catches on the season, coming in back-to-back games vs. South Carolina (Oct. 3) and Florida (Oct. 10). His catch vs. South Carolina went for six yards while his grab vs. the Gators was a career-long at eight yards.

In 2016, Clayton signed with Seattle Hawks. On 31 July 2016, Seattle Hawks stated that they had injured Wide Receiver Tyler Slavin and signed Tight End Clayton.

Seattle Hawks reporter John Boyle wrote, they signed Clayton an undrafted rookie on Missouri. He took part in Seattle’s rookie minicamp as a tryout player. Clayton also spent time on the defensive line at Mizzou before settling at tight end and was a contributor on special teams. Echard will wear No. 85.

His LinkedIn profile read, “After outperforming 4 other tight ends on a tryout basis with the Seattle Seahawks, I signed on as a free agent. While there, I practiced daily with the team and played in 4 preseason games. I made it past the first round of cuts, however, I was not able to make the final roster. Nonetheless, it was a unique experience that I was blessed to be a part of”

After quitting his football career, Clayton Echard landed a job as a sales associate in Stryker in July 2016. A year and half years later, he started serving as a Sales Representative in Columbia, Missouri.

Before Clayton’s professional football career (August 2016-September 2016), he worked as Athletic Training Intern at Dr. Glenn L. McElroy M.D. Sports Medicine Center. For three months, he worked for Fastenal as Sales Trainee.

Clayton Echard earned his Bachelor’s Degree with a 3.6 GPA in Health Professions and Related Clinical Sciences, and a business minor, in 2015. Later, he joined Southeast Missouri State University and earned his MBA degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management.
