Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid and his wife Anne de Paula are basking in their happily ever after.
The Sports Illustrated model took to Instagram with photos from the couple’s Southhampton nuptials, which took place on Saturday.
“You and me forever,” the 28-year-old, de Paula wrote in her caption in French, according to Google translate. “We’re made for each other.”
Embiid and de Paula’s son, Arthur, who turns three in September, was present during the wedding and pictured walking behind his parents after they said “I do.”
The 29-year-old Sixers superstar and his son wore matching white tuxedo jackets with black bowties — while de Paula looked stunning in a lace, long sleeve wedding dress.
Embiid and de Paula, who were first linked in 2018, posed for photos together on Cryder Beach and officially wed in a church ceremony.
Michael Rubin — former Sixers owner and current CEO of Fanatics, who is close friends with Embiid — attended the wedding and shared a photo of the newlyweds on his Instagram Story.
“Congrats @joelembiid and @annedepaula love you guys so much,” Rubin wrote, adding two red heart emojis.
The official Twitter account for the Sixers shared a wedding photo of the family on Tuesday, writing, “Congratulations to Arthur’s parents!”
Embiid and de Paula were introduced by a mutual friend at a 2018 dinner in New York City, the couple recalled in an interview with ESPN for its May 2021 cover story.
The Long Island nuptials came amid buzz that Embiid could potentially take his talents to the Knicks.
Last week, ESPN’s Zach Lowe and Dave McMenamin teased a possible pairing on an episode of Lowe’s “The Lowe Post” podcast.
“I mean line up the Acela Express and send him up to New York,” McMenamin said.
“That’s been what has been the murmurs. [Lowe] said New York, we’ve all heard New York, we know the connection between [Knicks president] Leon Rose and Joel Embiid.”
Rose is Embiid’s former agent, and the two have remained close.
Sixers insider Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer also fed into the buzz during a recent appearance on SiriusXM NBA Radio.
“Joel already owns a house up in New York, he’s had it for a while,” Pompey said. “The worst-kept secret is that the Knicks have been compiling and keeping a hold of their first-round draft picks hoping and praying that Joel Embiid asks out.
“I can see that absolutely happening.”
Embiid set off speculation about his future recently when he made cryptic comments about winning a championship “whether it’s in Philly or anywhere else.”
The six-time All-Star then suggested his comments were a troll tactic.
